Ramsey LPA1 Power Booster Amp with AC Adapter

Catalog Number

LPA1WAT

* Up to one watt output!
* 300KHz to 1000 MHz
* Runs on 12-15 VDC
* Pre-soldered Kit assembles in minutes

This power output amplifier makes an excellent companion to the TM100 antenna (sold separately). Need more range? Try boosting your external antenna with a full Watt. Easily reach 1/4 mile--some users have reported two miles range on their external antenna! This linear amplifier is recommended for use with the Ramsey FM30B or FM100B transmitters by attaching in-line to the external antenna jack.

The LPA1 is the ticket for boosting power up to 1 watt over a frequency range of 300 KHz to over 1000 MHz! Although intended for use as a lab amplifier, many users use the LPA1 to boost their FM stereo transmitters to a watt of power capable of providing radio service through an entire town. This is an excellent power-boosting choice for the models FM30B or FM100B which are shipped in the standard 250mW configuration. For the FM10C or FM25B, we recommend the FMBA1C signal amp.

Power supply is included with this model for 12 volts DC at 250mA via 2.1mm male power jack. Gain of 38dB at 10 MHz, 10 dB at 1000 MHz. Includes the custom matching case and knob set for a neat, professionally finished look. Case size 5”W x 1½”H x 5¼”D.

One-year parts and labor warranty from Automation Business Corporation. This version of the kit is fully wired (pre-soldered) and the components tested. Instructions for assembly, calibration, and rigging to the antena are included on CD. (An unsolderd kit version which you can solder and assemble is available from our Hobby Kit section on this web site.)
